**Bullet Prakash** (born Prakash; April 2, 1976 – April 6, 2020) was an Indian actor and comedian celebrated for his slapstick humor, expressive mannerisms, and prolific presence in Kannada cinema. Over a career spanning more than two decades, he appeared in over 300 films, establishing himself as one of the most recognizable and ubiquitous comic relief actors in Sandalwood. He earned his popular moniker "Bullet" from his trademark habit of riding to film shoots and studios on a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle. Born and raised in Bengaluru, Karnataka, Prakash had an early introduction to the screen as a child artist in V. Ravichandran’s ambitious multilingual production *Shanti Kranti* (1991). He returned to films in the late 1990s with small appearances, notably in the Shiva Rajkumar-starrer *A. K. 47* (1999). His breakthrough came in the action film *Dhruva* (2002) alongside Darshan. His performance received widespread audience appreciation, turning him into a sought-after comedy fixture and initiating a long-standing creative association and close personal friendship with Darshan. Throughout the 2000s and 2010s, Prakash was a constant comedic companion to Sandalwood’s leading stars, frequently sharing the screen with Puneeth Rajkumar, Darshan, Sudeep, Upendra, and Duniya Vijay. Known for his physical comedy and natural comedic timing, he delivered memorable comic tracks in popular hits such as *Daasa* (2003), *Mast Maja Maadi* (2008), *Aithalakkadi* (2010), *Jackie* (2010), *Mallikarjuna* (2011), *Parari* (2013), and *Jaggu Dada* (2016). Beyond feature films, Prakash participated as a contestant on the second season of the reality television show *Bigg Boss Kannada* in 2014 and later ventured into politics, joining the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2015. On April 6, 2020, he passed away at age 44 in Bengaluru due to acute liver and kidney complications. His posthumous releases included films such as *Pogaru* (2021) and *Gaalipata 2* (2022), serving as a tribute to an artist whose vibrant screen humor entertained generations of Kannada film lovers.
